Residential addiction treatment service providers and supervised consumption service providers must be licensed and meet core requirements.

Improved safety and quality of care are important for those who access regulated addiction and mental health services. The Mental Health Services Protection Act ensures core requirements are met by licensed service providers in Alberta.

Residential addiction treatment service providers and supervised consumption service providers have the right to appeal most licensing decisions made by the government.
