COVID-19: State of public health emergency. Mandatory measures remain in effect provincewide.
Overview
The wheat midge, scientifically known as Sitodiplosis mosellana, is found in most areas around the world wherever wheat is grown. Itβs caused significant damage to Alberta wheat crops in recent years.
All wheat varieties are currently susceptible to wheat midge, but some are more seriously affected than others.
