Holders of Water Act licences with a requirement to report water usage need to submit their reports online. If the licence is regulated by Alberta’s government, the report is submitted in the Digital Regulatory Assurance System (DRAS). Holders of energy- and mineral-related water use licences regulated by the Alberta Energy Regulator are required to submit reports in OneStop.
How to report water use in DRAS
Step 1. Move your licence into DRAS
If your licence was not issued through DRAS, move it into DRAS. Check out the video and articles:

Confirmation email
Licence holders who have moved their licence(s) into DRAS will receive a confirmation email. Once that email has been received, the licence holder and/or their assigned representative can begin using their custom DRAS Dashboard to:
- access licence information
- report water use
- receive important notifications related to their licence(s), and more
