Overview
The New West Partnership Trade Agreement is a trade relationship between Alberta, British Columbia, and Manitoba, and Saskatchewan. Manitoba joined the trade agreement on January 1, 2017.
The agreement makes it easier for corporations, cooperatives, limited partnerships and limited liability partnerships to operate across provincial borders. Registration and reporting requirements are simplified or eliminated to make business expansion more cost-effective.
Streamlined extra-provincial registration processes between Manitoba and the other provinces go into effect on June 29, 2020.
