Overview
The public health disease management guidelines provide policy direction for investigation and follow-up of notifiable diseases in Alberta. The guidelines are a collaboration between the Government of Alberta and subject matter experts for public health management of notifiable communicable diseases based on evidence-informed best practices.
The public health management guidelines support health practitioners in meeting the legal reporting requirements and appropriate public health actions legislated under the Public Health Act.
