Municipalities make bylaws and appoint planning authorities to govern land use planning within their boundaries, subject to principles established in Provincial legislation. The Tribunal holds hearings in the following cases to resolve land use planning disputes involving municipalities and/or their residents.
Process when a municipality rejects an application to amend a statutory plan or land use bylaw in line with a provincial authorization.
Subdivision and development appeals
The Tribunal hears subdivision and development appeals based on location and specifics of subject lands.
