Alberta operates a number of offices throughout the Indo Pacific Region, including locations in:

These offices work to build stronger, mutually beneficial economic ties between Alberta and the Indo Pacific Region.
They also provide support to Alberta and regional companies interested in trade and investment opportunities across sectors such as energy, agriculture, forestry, manufacturing and tourism.
Alberta’s ties with the Indo Pacific Region
Alberta has strong trade and social ties with many countries in the Indo Pacific Region, which, together, represent Alberta’s most diverse export market.
This region includes key markets such as China, Japan, Korea and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations. Combined, these markets make up Alberta’s second-largest export market. Asia is also becoming a leading source of foreign direct investment in Alberta.
This region also includes Australia and New Zealand.
Countries in this region are a source of a large portion of immigrants to Alberta and have strong economic and cultural relations with the province.
