The Hinton Training Centre (HTC) provides wildfire training for Alberta Forestry Division workers. Additionally, HTC provides forestry training, such as scaling, for our workers and others across the forest industry.

Operated by the Alberta government, HTC has developed and delivered professional technical training programs in wildfire and forest management since 1960. HTC campus spans 14 hectares, consisting of an academic building, 2 residences, a fitness room, gymnasium, rappel tower, wildfire lookout tower, service garage, archive and self-guided museum.

Facilities can be utilized and booked by government agencies, academia, other emergency management institutions and non-profit organizations. Find out more about HTC programs and services.
