Overview

The gas discipline of Public Safety Division is responsible for establishing and interpreting the gas codes, standards and respective regulations under the Safety Codes Act.

This includes the installation of gas fuelled appliances, equipment, components and accessories, propane storage and handling, and the installation of natural gas and propane alternate fuel systems on highway vehicles.

Dangerous misuse of propane cylinders

Propane cylinders are designed to store propane. Using cylinders for other purposes could be hazardous. Related Safety Tips are available at:
