Anti-racism engagement

Albertans shared their perspectives on the impact racism has in this province and on government actions to address racism.

Overview

We gathered input from Albertans and Indigenous communities to help ensure future government actions to address racism are effective and inclusive.

We listened and learned about the experiences of racialized individuals and Indigenous Peoples. This commitment continues to take steps to:

  • protect vulnerable groups from hate and discrimination
  • remove systemic barriers to accessing government programs
  • ensure Albertans have equal access to information and services
  • empower communities to promote inclusion, diversity, multiculturalism and social connection

Your input helped inform next steps for Taking action against racism, build upon Alberta’s Anti-Racism Action Plan, and build a more welcoming and inclusive province for everyone.
