Métis Week is an opportunity for the Métis people in Alberta to share their stories, history and culture with people across Alberta. This annual celebration takes place during the week leading up to November 16.
Everyone is welcome to join in activities throughout the week to learn more about Métis people and their work to gain recognition of their rights.
Every year, the life and legacy of Louis Riel is commemorated on November 16, the date of his execution, at the Alberta Legislature in Edmonton.
There were many events for Métis Week across Alberta in 2019. Stay tuned for 2020 event listings.
