  • Canada Council for the Arts

    The Canada Council for the Arts is Canada’s public arts funder, with a mandate to foster and promote the study and enjoyment of, and the production of works in, the arts.

  • Calgary Arts Development

    Calgary Arts Development supports and strengthens the arts to benefit all Calgarians. The organization invests and allocates municipal funding for the arts provided by The City of Calgary and leverages these funds to provide additional resources to the arts sector.

    The Edmonton Arts Council is a not-for-profit organization that supports and promotes the arts community in Edmonton.  It works to increase the profile and involvement of arts and culture. Funding is available to both individuals and organizations.

  • Foundation to Assist Talent on Record (FACTOR)

    FACTOR is a private non-profit organization dedicated to providing assistance toward the growth and development of the Canadian music industry. FACTOR’s programs provide financial support to Canadian recording artists, labels, songwriters, publishers, event producers and distributors. Whether an artist is looking to record a demo or a full-length sound recording, market an existing album, or go on tour at home or internationally, there is funding available.

  • Musicaction

    Musicaction is a non-profit organization that fosters the development of music by supporting the production and marketing of sound recordings, as well as collective promotional activities. Musicaction's programs are designed to meet the needs of independent music production, which accounts for the majority of albums by Francophone artists across the country.

  • Polaris Music Prize

    Polaris is a Canadian charitable arts organization that honours the year’s most artistically significant album and song via a jury of 200+ critics and curators. The jury produces Album/Song Long and Short Lists, with winners revealed each September in Toronto at the Polaris Concert & Award Ceremony.

  • The Canadian Starmaker Fund

    The Canadian Starmaker Fund (previously known as the Radio Starmaker Fund) was created by Canada’s private radio broadcasters in partnership with the Canadian Independent Music Association (CIMA) and Music Canada. Funding is used to provide touring and promotional support to emerging Canadian artists, as well as provide seed funding to artists from diverse cultural backgrounds
