Quick sign-in

Quick sign-in is an optional feature that lets you access your Alberta Wallet app faster using your phone’s built-in security. With quick sign-in turned on, you can also access and share your digital documents while offline.

Supported security options

Quick sign-in uses the security features already available on your device, such as:

  • face ID
  • fingerprint ID
  • pattern
  • passcode
  • passkey

You can choose the method you prefer.

More help

You can turn on quick sign-in during the initial Alberta Wallet app setup at any time in your Alberta Wallet settings menu.

More information on enabling quick sign-in is in the Alberta Wallet Reference Guide.

 2-Step Verification

The Alberta Wallet was designed with security and privacy in mind.

You can protect your Alberta Wallet by turning on 2-Step Verification. This feature adds an extra layer of security, ensuring your Alberta.ca Account is protected beyond just your password.

You can choose between text message verification or a time-based one-time password (TOTP) from an authenticator app.

Learn more about enabling 2-Step Verification in the Alberta Wallet Reference Guide.
