Overview
Benchmark jobs are the only official comparators used when evaluating non-management and management jobs in the Government of Alberta.
Benchmarks are representative jobs in the Government of Alberta that provide a reference point against which all other jobs are measured. Ratings for benchmark jobs are confirmed through a quality assurance process and are the only comparators considered in a classification appeal hearing.
