Wudasay Belayneh has been volunteering with Calgary’s Harvest Hills Alliance Church children’s ministry for the past five years. She currently serves as a preschool leader for the 2- to 3-year-old class.
Shortly after COVID-19 hit, she contacted Harvest Hills and asked if there was anything she could do to help. She wanted to connect with the young children who attend the church. She started sharing Bible stories on the Harvest Kids Facebook page. With materials provided by the church, she has been planning and executing online lessons all on her own.
Wudasay brings a lot of enthusiasm to her online lessons. Her commitment and dedication are ensuring that young church members continue to have access to quality and enriching programming throughout the pandemic.
