There’s no arguing Tiffany Li is a dedicated volunteer committed to helping fellow young people develop public speaking skills.

Tiffany is a Grade 11 student at Webber Academy in Calgary who not only excels academically, but also genuinely cares for the people around her and is strongly committed to helping others. She is passionate about debate and helping younger kids develop speech and debate skills in her community, voluntarily teaching 4 to 5 hours per month of debate and speech since Grade 9. She has contributed her talents to a number of organizations in Alberta including the Edvic Speech and Debate Club, C and C Education Foundation, and at her own school, Webber Academy.

Tiffany founded the debate club for C and C Education, where she also currently coaches, and was instrumental in starting the debate education program for elementary students in 2021. On top of this, she started EduCamp, an educational organization that provided inexpensive or free online camps during the COVID-19 pandemic to allow students to learn accessibly. Through September of 2023, EduCamp reached more than 400 students and hosted 10 camps. Tiffany is currently the director of EduCamp’s Calgary Branch.

For articulating volunteerism through action, Tiffany Li is a deserving recipient of Northern Lights Volunteer Recognition honours.
