For young international students far from home, the Alberta chapter of One Voice Canada is speaking for them and ensuring that their voice is heard. From workshops focusing on the rights of international students, to helping students deal with exam stress, One Voice Canada (Alberta) serves as a bridge between international students and the community.
When family and friends are on the other side of the globe, One Voice volunteers step up to help students find the emotional and practical supports they need as they pursue their academic goals and dreams. During the COVID-19 pandemic, One Voice helped initiate food drives, collecting supplies and distributing more than 600 food hampers to those in need. And, if One Voice is not equipped to provide the service that a student needs, they help connect that student to a local non-profit that can, proving that there are no borders around showing concern for others.
