No matter how full her schedule, Leanne Pharis always finds a way to make things work and make things better. Her unwavering commitment to volunteering, both formally and informally, has touched nearly every corner of the Manning community.

Sharing her artistic talents through knitting, crocheting or pottery, Leanne brings creativity and warmth wherever she goes.

From revitalizing the local pottery club to supporting agriculture and youth development, Leanne’s creativity and compassion inspire others. She volunteers with 4-H Clubs, supports Classroom Agriculture and Farm Safety programs and serves on the Hawk Hills Agricultural Society Board. Her 6 years on the North Peace Applied Research Association board and role as an Alberta Research and Extension Council of Alberta representative reflect her deep commitment to rural advancement. She also lends her time to Alberta’s farm mental health network and supports the Rural Health Action Plan serving as a healthcare provider for youth activities.

Leanne’s compassion knows no bounds. She has helped Ukrainian families settle, supported local organizations and is always there for her neighbours. Her remarkable contributions inspire others, and her community impact make her a truly worthy recipient of Northern Lights Volunteer Recognition.
