The Alberta Century Farm and Ranch Award is pleased to now recognize farm families who have continuously owned and actively operated the same land for 125 years or more.
Successful applicants will receive a special commemorative certificate of recognition from the Premier and Minister of Agriculture and Forestry.
The Government of Alberta has the right to publish award information including the family's name, local community and municipality, and land establishment and award dates.
Farm families who currently own, and have actively and continuously operated the same land for a minimum of 125 years or more. This includes the land not being cash-rented or subdivided to a non-family member, as per the 100 year award criteria (PDF, 1.7 MB).
- your family must have previously received the 100 year Alberta Century Farm and Ranch Award, which already verified your historical establishment date and other details to eligible for the 125-year recognition
