Overview
The Northern Alberta Development Council (NADC) supports general development in Alberta's northern region which has unique opportunities and challenges.
Goals
Encourage economic growth and community development by:
- building partnerships among key stakeholders
- fostering economic strength and diversity by advocating for development in transportation, value-added agriculture, tourism, health and other areas
- increasing awareness of northern Alberta’s opportunities and advancing development
Region
The NADC region represents 60% of Alberta’s landmass (380,000 km2) and 9% of the total population.

Provincial assets in the region include having 100% of the mineable oil sands development in the province and an estimated 87% of the managed forest land base.
