Under the Traveller Protection and Destination Development Act, all entities that can manage and receive destination marketing fees must be designated by the minister of Tourism and Sport.

Transferring Destination Marketing Fees to Destination Marketing Organization only
A tourism business may elect to have all of the destination marketing fees it collects transferred entirely to the destination marketing organization (DMO) designated for the geographic area. Written notice of this election must be submitted to the Minister through this form. The tourism business must also provide a copy of the notice to the designated trustee for the geographic area.
A tourism business may revoke this election at any time by submitting written notice of revocation to the Minister through this form, and providing a copy of the notice to the designated trustee for the geographic area.
