Wildfire update

Slave Lake Forest Area - July 07, 2026

High wildfire danger

The wildfire danger across the Slave Lake Forest Area is high. Warm weather is drying out trees, grass, and other vegetation, making it easier for wildfires to start and spread. Additional caution is required to ensure outdoor activities don't start wildfires.
