The minister of Justice and Solicitor General also visited communities across the province to hear from residents, business owners, rural crime watch groups and local officials.

Outcomes

Bill 27: the Trespass Statutes (Protecting Law-abiding Property Owners) Act was introduced on November 19, 2019 to strengthen protections for property owners and ensure trespassers face the proper consequences for their actions.

Additional actions continue to be considered as part of implementing our rural crime strategy.
