Introduction
2022 marks the 70th year of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II’s reign. In celebration of this historic anniversary, Alberta is joining the rest of Canada and Commonwealth nations around the world in recognizing the Platinum Jubilee.
Throughout the year, the contributions and achievements of Albertans will be recognized with commemorative Platinum Jubilee awards. A variety of events and activities will be held on the Platinum Jubilee Weekend from June 3 to 5.
More details about the events and how Albertans can join in the celebrations will be added in coming months.
