Parliamentary Secretary Scott Cyr

Scott Cyr was elected as the Member of the Legislative Assembly for Bonnyville–Cold Lake–St. Paul in 2023, after previously serving as the MLA for Bonnyville–Cold Lake from 2015 to 2019.

Before entering public office, he worked as an accountant and in Alberta’s oil and gas industry. He holds a management degree with a double major in accounting and finance from the University of Lethbridge.

In the Legislature, his work has focused on supporting infrastructure, transportation, economic development, public safety, and healthcare access, defence, and regional growth across northern and rural Alberta. Born and raised in northern Alberta, he is known for a practical, hands-on approach to public service and collaboration with municipal leaders, industry and community organizations.

He and his wife, Megan, are proud to be raising their 2 daughters in Cold Lake.
