Overview

Use this form to request assessment information from the Provincial Assessor for a designated industrial property under sections 299 and 300 of the Municipal Government Act (MGA). 

An assessed person may request information about how their property assessment was prepared under section 299 of the MGA. Under section 300, an assessed person may request assessment information about another designated industrial property for comparison purposes. 

Complete this form to identify the property and information being requested. The Provincial Assessor will review the request and provide the information required under the MGA, subject to any applicable restrictions on disclosure.

Processing timelines follow MGA requirements:

  • Information will be provided within 15 business days (MRAT s.34(1)(2)).
  • The Provincial Assessor is not obligated to respond to a s.299.1/s.299.2 request if a complaint is active at the Land and Property Rights Tribunal (MGA 299.1(3)).
  • The Provincial Assessor is not obligated to respond to a s.299.1/s.299.2 if the request for information is in respect of an amended assessment and the amended assessment notice was issued during the complaint period (MGA 299.2(4)).
  • Confidentiality restrictions apply (MGA 300.1(3)).

  • I am the assessed person, or I have proper authority to act on behalf of the assessed person.
  • All authorization documents provided (corporate search, affidavit, management contract, power of attorney, resolution) are true and valid.
  • I understand that information received under Sections 299.1 and 300.1 may only be used for assessment purposes and is protected under the Sections 300 – 301 of the Alberta Municipal Government Act, and the Access to Information Act (ATIA,) and Section 4(c) of the Protection of Privacy Act (POPA).
  • I understand incomplete requests cannot be processed.
