Ardley Reservoir Study survey

Ardley Reservoir Study survey

  • Ardley Reservoir Study survey

Introduction

The Government of Alberta is assessing options to increase water storage capacity and enhance water security in the Red Deer River basin. A scoping and feasibility study is being conducted to examine the feasibility and impacts of the design, construction and operation of a new dam and water storage reservoir hearing your input about the Ardley Reservoir Scoping and Feasibility Study.

The study will include fieldwork to assess the technical feasibility of the three options identified during scoping, and will carefully evaluate their cultural, social, economic, engineering and environmental considerations. Your input is an important part of the study, which will provide information to assist the government decision on whether one of the options should undergo further evaluation, including additional engineering, detailed design, and regulatory approvals.
