Overview
Alberta’s tax advantage is an estimate of the total additional provincial taxes individuals and businesses would pay if Alberta had the same tax system as other provinces.
In Budget 2023, Alberta's 2023-24 tax advantage was measured at $19.7 billion. This does not include the additional $520 million in savings from the extension of the fuel tax pause to the end of 2023.
