Overview
The Alberta India Advisory Committee was established in June 2025 to support the Alberta government’s ongoing work to develop economic corridors and enhance trade between Alberta and India. The committee’s role is to help Alberta’s government better understand economic opportunities and challenges in Alberta-India trade, investment and collaboration.
Responsibilities
The committee is a non-governmental committee and does not have decision-making authority.
Committee members do not represent Alberta's government nor speak on its behalf.
The role of the committee is to provide Alberta’s government with information for considering in Alberta’s efforts to pursue new pathways for collaboration with India.
Membership
The committee may consist of up to 10 members appointed for up to a 2-year term and convenes on a quarterly basis. Committee members participate on a volunteer basis without renumeration.
