Description: This is an Alberta Emergency Alert. The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo has updated its wildfire alert.
There is a staged re-entry underway. Flight and boat details have been shared with community members that need transportation home. Anyone that has not been contacted, should reach out to their Nation or call Pulse at 780-743-7000.
Area: There is no longer a Mandatory Evacuation Order in place for the entire community of Fort Chipewyan, including the Mikisew Cree First Nation, Fort Chipewyan Metis Nation and Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation.
