Description: This is an Alberta Emergency Alert.
Anyone in Fort Chipewyan that has not left, should contact Pulse at 1-800-973-9663 or 780-743-7000 between 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. to request a seat on a plane. Contact information will be recorded and Emergency Social Services will follow up to provide details on the next available flight to Fort McMurray. Residents evacuating by boat need to contact Pulse before leaving. All boats should travel to Barge Landing in Fort McKay.
Area: A Mandatory Evacuation Order is in place for Fort Chipewyan including the Mikisew Cree First Nation, Fort Chipewyan Metis Nation and Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation.

Action to take:
- Transportation to an evacuation registration centre will be provided if you informed Pulse before you leave
- Bring important documents, medication and supplies for at least 7 days
- Take pets and crates with you
