Weed management

Information on field scouting, winter weed control and other resources.

Introduction

Land owners and occupiers are responsible for controlling noxious weeds and destroying prohibited noxious weeds under Alberta’s Weed Control Act. No matter where invasive plants are located, prevention is always the most effective approach in dealing with them.

In this section, find resources to help prevent and control agricultural weeds, including:

  • provincial surveys
  • identification guides
  • fact sheets
  • weed control notices and identification forms
