Overview

511 Alberta is a free traveler information service, operated by the Government of Alberta, that may be accessed via phone, mobile device, or computer. It helps highway users stay informed about:

  • highway conditions
  • construction zones and roadwork
  • major traffic incidents
  • special events and other factors affecting travel on provincial highways

Users within Alberta may access the information via phone, toll free, by calling 511, similar to the way they would call 911 for emergencies or 411 for directory assistance.
