Description: This is an Alberta Emergency Alert. Woodlands County has updated an Evacuation Order for an area along the McLeod River.

Waters on the McLeod River are receding. Overland flooding is still affecting roadways in the area.

Area: The Evacuation Order has been cancelled for areas along RR 124B, Twp Rd 593A, RR 123B, west of West Mountain Rd, and Stratton Ave. The Order is in effect for everyone along Twp Rd 593A, Twp Rd 594 south to McLeod River, RR 124, RR 124A, Cutbanks Rd and RR 123A.

Affected areas (2):

  • Whitecourt
  • Woodlands County

Action to take:

  • Residents along RR 124B, Twp Rd 593A, RR 123B, west of West Mountain Rd, and Stratton Ave, may return
  • Drive with caution
  • Inspect your home for damage
  • Do NOT enter your home if the structure is off its foundation or any part has collapsed
  • Contact your insurance provider for damages
  • Avoid flooded areas
  • Call 1-888-870-6315 for information.
