Description: This is an Alberta Emergency Alert. Woodlands County has issued an Evacuation Order for areas along the McLeod River.

Rivers are causing overland flooding and washing out roads. River flows are expected to peak late tonight at the earliest and remain high until Friday.

Area: The area has been updated: West Mountain Rd to Stratton Ave and low-lying properties on Stratton Ave. West Mountain Rd to McLeod River, south of Cutbanks Rd. Old Ferry Loop south of Twp Rd 594 to McLeod River, from RR 125 to RR 123B and west to McLeod River. Also include Cutbanks Rd/ Twp Rd 593A.

Affected areas (2):

• Whitecourt
• Woodlands County

Action to take:

• Everyone in the affected area must evacuate immediately
• Gather pets, important documents, and medication
• Call 1-888-870-6315 to register
• Call 9-1-1 for emergency assistance.
