Program description: This program in Leduc County, Alberta, assists women aged 18 or older who are unemployed or marginally employed and seeking employment in the construction industry. It is a 16-week program that addresses barriers such as limited job access and gender biases through targeted outreach, comprehensive assessments, and action plans. Clients benefit from continuous intake, skills development, and job placement support, receiving tailored guidance and resources to ensure successful integration and sustained employment in the construction workforce. Services are provided in-person in Leduc County.

The Program will connect eligible Clients with Employers who will provide competitive, fair-wage employment to fill job openings within Edmonton and surrounding area.

Program description: Verto is a 21-week, full-time employment training program targeting at-risk youth between the ages of 18-24. The program consists of 32.5 hours of programming per week for nine weeks, and twelve weeks of work experience. The program includes nine weeks of programming on career planning, employment readiness and retention, education as it relates to achieving long-term employment goals, job searching, and retention, and enhancing employability through the completion of appropriate certifications.

Program description: Obtain skills in simulated worksites that are industry specific to Horizontal Directional Drilling, Concrete and Asphalt laborer and Landscaping laborer/Arborist at no cost. These services provide pre- and post-employment supports ensuring that participants are supported for success. Participants will be provided an allowance to attend the programming. The project will also work closely with employers providing a storefront to meet their Human Resource (HR) needs. These services will be provided in-person at the facility in Fort Saskatchewan and at the Simulated Worksite Facility operated by Omnia Training located in Sturgeon County.
