The Slims Creek Fire (PWF050), in the vicinity of Twin Lakes and 30 km north of the Town of Manning has had slow fire growth due to cooler temperatures and rainy conditions. Work continues to contain the wildfire with heavy equipment, helicopters and firefighter crews. Twin Lakes Provincial Recreation Area remains closed.

Area: This Alert is for everyone in the Hawkhills area.

Action to take:

• Although this alert is being CANCELLED, everyone in Hawk Hills and the County need to be aware that wildfire season remains active throughout the area
