There is a wildfire threat to the Chip/Alpac road. The MD of Opportunity has issued a mandatory evacuation order for the community of Chipewyan Lake. Everyone in Chipewyan Lake must evacuate immediately.

Area: The MD of Opportunity is issuing a Wildfire Alert for the community of Chipewyan Lake.

Affected areas (1):

• Opportunity No. 17

Action to take:

• Gather pets, medication, important documents, clothing and supplies for at least three days
• Evacuate to the Lakeview Sports Center in Wabasca for registration and instructions
• Busses will be available at the MD Shop for those who do not have a ride to evacuate
• Staff will be going door to door, please let them know if you need a ride to the bus
