Description: severe thunderstorm warning in effect

At 5:17 p.m. MDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a dangerous thunderstorm capable of producing strong wind gusts, golf ball to tennis ball size hail and heavy rain. This thunderstorm is located 5 km south of Caroline and is moving 35 km/h to the southeast.

Very large hail can damage property, break windows, dent vehicles and cause serious injury. Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are likely to produce or are producing one or more of the following: large hail, damaging winds, torrential rainfall.

Area: Clearwater Co. near Caroline and James River Bridge

  • Clearwater County
  • Burnstick Lake
  • Caroline
  • Mountain View County
  • Sundre
