Area: The affected areas are the communities of Whitefish River and Atikameg, Alberta
Description: There is currently a wildfire east of the communities and due to current weather conditions ALL community members of Whitefish River and Atikameg must evacuate.
Instruction: Residents should leave now. Please take only essentials and follow the the 72 hour Emergency Kit guidelines. Reception centre is located at the Town of Slave Lake office 10 main street Slave Lake. Highway 88 is closed so residents must use highway 750 to Highway 2. Please follow directions of authorities and watch for updates on community social media. If you need assistance please call 780-805-9495
