There is currently a wildfire east of the communities and due to current weather conditions ALL community members of Whitefish River and Atikameg must evacuate.

Affected areas (2):

• Utikoomak Lake 155A
• Utikoomak Lake 155

Action to take:

• Residents should leave now
• Please take only essentials and follow the the 72 hour Emergency Kit guidelines
• Reception centre is located at the Town of Slave Lake office 10 main street Slave Lake
• Highway 88 is closed so residents must use highway 750 to Highway 2
• Please follow directions of authorities and watch for updates on community social media
