Description: This is an Alberta Emergency Alert. Yellowhead County has updated the wildfire alert and expanded the evacuation zone around Wildwood and Lobstick.

The fire north of Highway 16 near Wildwood and Lobstick will change directions and move south toward Wildwood today.

Area: This alert is in effect for everyone in Wildwood, Lobstick and areas around North, East and South Chip Lake.

Affected areas (1):

• Yellowhead County

Action to take:

• Everyone in the impacted area must evacuate immediately, including everyone in Wildwood and areas surrounding Chip Lake
• If you are unsure if you should evacuate, call 1-833-334-4630
• Bring important documents, medication, food, water and supplies for at least 3 days
• Take pets with you
• A reception centre has been setup at the Edson and District Leisure Centre, at 1021 49 Street in Edson
• Evacuation map attached to this alert on the AEA app
• Stay tuned to AEA and local media for updates
