Description: There is a train derailment on the west side of the hamlet of Irvine and situated along the north side of Highway 1 in Cypress County. The derailment involves damage along the railway line, chemical exposure, and disruption of road and highway access. Emergency services are on scene.

Highway 1 has now been opened to both east and west bound traffic between Highway 41 North and the hamlet of Walsh. However, access into the hamlet of Irvine is not permitted. A mandatory evacuation remains in effect for all area residents within 6.4 kilometres of the hamlet of Irvine. Residents are required to report to the emergency evacuation reception area at the Cypress County Office in the hamlet of Dunmore. Instruction: A train has derailed. Evacuate immediately to the emergency evacuation reception center at the Cypress County Administration Office in Dunmore. Please avoid the area. Take all necessary precautions. Follow the directions of local authorities. Listen to local authorities for updates.
