Description: Update 2: Due to a wildfire in the County of Northern Lights, a number of areas within the County must still be prepared to evacuate on short notice. Residents returning to area north of Township Rd. 922 to Twin Lakes Campground are advised that they also should be prepared to evacuate on short notice, should a change in the fire situation occur. The mandatory Evacuation Order for County of Northern Lights residents located from Township Road 922 to Twin Lakes Campground has been rescinded as of 12 noon Monday, June 3. Displaced residents in this area may return to their homes. The Evacuation Order for the County of Northern Lights from Twin Lakes Campground to the County’s northern boundary remains in effect. This includes the areas of Keg River and Carcajou. The County of Northern Lights along with the RCMP are temporarily restricting the northbound traffic lane of Highway 35 at Twin Lakes Lodge. Instruction: Although an evacuation order for County of Northern Lights has ended, the public must be aware that other areas still need to be prepared to evacuate on short notice. Go to the County website regarding wildfire and update information for your area. There are wildfires in the area and the public must keep informed and updated regarding dangers within the County.
