Description: Updated 29 Apr 2018 @ 1810: A large ice jam is affecting the Athabasca river, in the area of Pride Valley East of Fort Assiniboine. Currently the area is being impacted by too much water to allow any safe access.
There is a large ice jam affecting the Athabasca river, in the area of Pride Valley East of Fort Assiniboine where a State of Local Emergency was declared at 0741. 4 Residences have been evacuated. Barricades and signs are in place. People are asked to please avoid the area. Field staff continue to monitor the situations and will update residents as the situation changes. Please avoid the area.
