Alberta’s government is providing about $2.4 million to Brick House Recovery Centre to expand gambling treatment and recovery services in the province, ensuring Albertans have access to specialized care to address gambling addiction and achieve long-term recovery.
Gambling addiction can have serious impacts on a person’s mental health, finances, relationships and well-being. Alberta's government is ensuring free, recovery-oriented supports are available for individuals and families affected by gambling addiction.

Earlier this year, Alberta’s government conducted an open competition seeking qualified organizations to provide coordinated outpatient and online gambling treatment and recovery services. Brick House Recovery Centre is the first organization to receive funding through this competition, with additional recipients being selected later this fall.
Brick House Recovery Centre is an Alberta-based addiction service provider offering evidence-based treatment and support. Funding will help deliver a flexible, person-centred outpatient program for Albertans experiencing gambling addiction, with four weeks of outpatient treatment followed by up to eight weeks of individualized aftercare to support ongoing recovery. In-person treatment is available in Edmonton and Calgary, with virtual services available provincewide, ensuring all Albertans can access the support they need, no matter where they live.
