While on the U.S. West Coast, Minister Glubish met with leading technology companies, investors and innovation leaders. The mission highlighted how Alberta’s energy capacity, cold climate, modernized privacy framework and growing AI ecosystem create the ideal environment for AI data centre investment. The minister also shared how Alberta is leading Canada in adopting AI across the public service, making services better, faster and smarter for Albertans.
"Alberta hasn't just kept pace with AI, we've stayed ahead of the curve. We're giving every government, business, academic, and citizen access to secure, state-of-the-art infrastructure, while extending an open invitation to the world's leading technology hubs to invest, build, and grow in Alberta."
The mission built on Alberta’s AI Data Centre Strategy and the province’s goal of becoming the computing capital of Canada, positioning Alberta to attract large-scale AI infrastructure and the investment that comes with it.
Mission expenses will be posted on the travel and expense disclosure page.
