As part of Alberta’s public engagement on nuclear energy and its potential to meet the province’s future electricity needs, the Nuclear Energy Engagement and Advisory Panel will host a series of virtual and in-person public information sessions in December and January. These sessions will provide information around nuclear energy and gather input from people across the province, including the public, municipalities and industry.

“Reliably meeting Alberta’s growing electricity demands is critical to our province’s success. The Nuclear Energy Engagement and Advisory Panel is excited to start meeting directly with Albertans and hear what they have to say about the role nuclear power could play in our energy future.”

Chantelle de Jonge, parliamentary secretary, Affordability and Utilities
