On Nov. 20, 2018, pursuant to Sec. 46.1 of the Police Act, ASIRT was directed to investigate an RCMP officer-involved shooting causing injury near Hinton earlier that day. ASIRT’s investigation is now complete.

On July 10, 2020, pursuant to the agreement between ASIRT and the Yukon government, ASIRT was directed to investigate a use of force during an arrest in Whitehorse on July 6, 2020. ASIRT’s investigation is now complete.

On Dec. 12, 2020, pursuant to Sec. 46.1 of the Police Act, ASIRT was directed to investigate a fatal collision that occurred earlier that day after Calgary Police Service involvement. ASIRT’s investigation is now complete.
