In partnership with Calgary Economic Development, Alberta’s government is launching Level Up, a provincewide program that will give businesses access to specialized training, coaching and market-specific knowledge to help them compete and grow around the world.
As businesses navigate economic uncertainty caused by tariffs and changing trade relationships, expanding into new markets is more important than ever. Level Up builds on the success of the Trade Accelerator Program, providing export-ready businesses with additional tools to diversify their trade and export opportunities.

Developed through collaboration between Alberta's government, Calgary Economic Development and partners across Alberta's export sector, Level Up offers more specialized training, specifically through deeper market-specific knowledge, sectoral expertise and guidance for entering new complex markets.

Programs like the Trade Accelerator Program and Level Up complement trade supports already available to Alberta businesses, including the Alberta Export Expansion Program and international trade missions. Quick facts
- Since June 2025, Alberta’s government has committed $3.8 million to Calgary Economic Development to deliver the Trade Accelerator Program and Level Up program across the province, aiming to support more than 1,500 businesses over five years.
- Since 2018, more than 660 Alberta companies have participated in Alberta’s Trade Accelerator Program, securing more than 200 trade deals across 50 international markets.
- Level Up was designed and tested with trade ecosystem partners and businesses to ensure it responds to the needs of Alberta companies.
