RCMP – July 4, 2024 | Report
ASIRT investigated the circumstances surrounding a man who was injured while being arrested after he fled from a police traffic stop.
RCMP – March 4, 2026 | Report
ASIRT examined an allegation from a woman that an off-duty RCMP officer had put something in her drink at a Calgary bar. Subsequent analysis revealed no substances in the drink.
ASIRT is part of the Police Review Commission, an independent civilian-led agency. ASIRT investigates potential criminal offences involving police across Alberta, including cases where the actions of a police officer may have resulted in serious injury or death.
